Ryan Shupe & the Rubberband

Saturday night I went and saw an amazing concert in the Wilk, Ryan Shupe & the Rubberband. They have real talent. After watching them, I'm pretty sure the each member of the band can play at least 3 instruments. Ryan Shupe switched from a violin, to a banjo, to a ukulele, to a guitar and also helped out with a base. Not to mention he also played the violin while singing and made it look really easy. Maybe I am just a nieve little girl when it comes to musicians, but they really impressed me. Now I want a cd, just saying.
My favorite band member would have to be the banjo-(ist?). Anyhow, he was pure talent and sweat. How can you get anything better than that? I'm not sure if after watching them, I have been inspired to become better at guitar or if it has just discouraged me becuase they where a totaly different leauge. Hmm, maybe I'll decide later.

A picture...

I took this picture a little before I got over my fairiswheel obsession last semester.

Give a Stranger a Coke Day

On Wednesday I left my class with an assignment to buy a stranger a coke, or a drink, or anything. So it took me a while to decide the what and where and who, but then on Friday night, it all worked out. I was in line to buy some stuff from Target with my roommate, Jo. I decided that the next person to choose checkout number 9 as their checkout was going to be the lucky winner. I grabbed a snickers bar and put it in my pile of things. Luckily, all went as planned because someone got in line after me. I bought the snickers bar and asked the cashier to hold on to it and give it to the sad lonely man behind me. She was a little confused about what I just asked her to do, but after I repeated myself three times and rephrased myself twice, she understood what was fate that night. Jo and I finished checking out, and took our positions far away from the register by the food court. I watched as the man was told by the cashier someone had bought the snickers bar and it was all his. Either that man got really happy because of it, or the cashier beefed up the story. Whatever happened, that man was a little bit more satisfied with life on Friday night and so was I.

this is it

for one of my classes this semester, I have been asked to make a blog and write in it weekly. my feelings about this? good i guess, I like reading in blogs and writing in them too. i have never been crazy about the idea that i should share all my personal thoughts and secrets online, but you got to do what you got to, right? also I hate anything to do with grammar so everyone just get over it now. I'll capitalize and spell correctly what i want when i want.
One goal i have for my blog is to include pictures because i have found that my favorite blogs have tons of pictures. so here is a blurry picture of a tea set that i made in my ceramics class. it was the only thing that i made that was pretty.
